Miranda Lambert celebrated the 35th birthday of her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, on Wednesday, October 14, by posting a series of photos and videos to Instagram. The post included images of McLoughlin poolside, holding Whataburger bags, fishing and riding a jet ski.
One video features Lambert singing new lyrics to the chorus of ‘Choosin’ Texas’ while McLoughlin gets ready for a night out in Las Vegas. Lambert sings, ‘He’s in Vegas I can tell,’ and McLoughlin laughs in response. Other clips show the couple’s life in rural Tennessee and McLoughlin lacing Lambert’s sneakers.
Lambert co-wrote and co-produced ‘Choosin’ Texas’ with Ella Langley, along with co-writers Luke Dick and JoyBeth Taylor and co-producer Ben West. The song spent 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing the 22 weeks set by Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’
Lambert released her 10th solo album, Crisco, on October 2. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
