Hayley Williams sold out two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this week, performing nearly two hours on opening night without any Paramore material. The first night, October 5, drew a full house of 17,000.
Williams drew from her three solo albums: “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” (2025), “Petals for Armor” (2020), and “Flowers for Vases/Descansos” (2021). She performed 12 tracks from “Ego Death,” approximately 10 from “Petals for Armor,” and one from “Flowers for Vases.” The setlist included a cover of Portishead’s “Wandering Star” and a collaboration with producer Zedd on their 2013 track “Stay the Night.”
The show opened with a solo piano performance of “Just a Lover” and closed with “Parachute” from “Ego Death.” Williams performed in a white mini-dress decorated with hand-drawn devil faces and made political statements during the set, including remarks about immigration enforcement and Palestinian rights.
The tour marks a significant moment in Williams’ career as a solo artist. “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party,” originally released in mysterious installments, has become what critics describe as a career-defining project. Williams has emphasized keeping ticket prices low through a Face Value program to prevent scalping.
