Ella Langley performed at SiriusXM Small Stage at Denver’s The Grizzly Rose on Tuesday, where she reflected on the pace of her career and personal aspirations.
“My life moves so fast now,” Langley said during the performance. “I’m constantly going somewhere. I mean, for me to spend longer than five days in one place is a miracle.” The 27-year-old singer, who grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama, prefaced her track “Somethin’ Simple” by wondering aloud: “Can she have the man and can she have the dream at the same time?”
The song, from her sophomore album Dandelion, depicts a quieter life with a home, dog, guitar and hardworking partner—contrasting with her current touring schedule. Dandelion debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums in April. Her breakout hit “Choosin’ Texas” set a record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Langley’s comments come amid reports of a relationship with fellow country artist Tucker Wetmore. People magazine reported in September that sources confirmed the two are dating, though neither has publicly confirmed their relationship status.
