Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía was honored with the Billboard Hall of Fame Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday, October 22. Dominican artist Juan Luis Guerra presented the award.
The Billboard Hall of Fame Award, first dedicated to Selena Quintanilla in 1995, celebrates “an extraordinary career defined by musical innovation, a singular artistic vision and an influence that has transcended genres, languages and borders,” according to a press release.
In her acceptance speech, Rosalía thanked Guerra and cited artists who influenced her, including Celia Cruz, Rocío, Vicente Fernández and Daddy Yankee. “I am in shock; I will never forget this moment,” she said.
Later in the evening, Rosalía won Top Latin Pop Album of the Year for LUX. She said she was “so proud to make music in Spanish.”
Rosalía was named Woman of the Year at the 2026 Billboard Latin Women in Music gala earlier this year. Her LUX World Tour, a 57-show arena tour that began in March and covered Europe, North America and South America, concluded in Miami in September. The album LUX reached No. 1 on five Billboard charts, including Top Latin Albums and Top Latin Pop Albums.
The awards coincided with Billboard Latin Music Week, held October 19 to 21 at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach.
