Mexican regional group Fuerza Regida received the Billboard Vanguard Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami, a ceremony broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock, where the group also performed.

Fuerza Regida was honored with the Billboard Vanguard Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, held at the James L. Knight Center in Miami. The San Bernardino, California, group was recognized for an innovative, unconventional creative vision that has expanded the reach of música Mexicana internationally. The band was a finalist for 12 awards this year.

The ceremony was broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock. Before the award was presented, the group performed “Pues Ya Ni Pedo” with Mexican-American musician Chuyin, appearing in white suits and replicas of the mask that conceals Chuyin’s identity.

The award was presented by members of Clave Especial, part of the group’s label, Street Mob Records, and by Los Gemelos de Sinaloa. Accepting the award, vocalist Jesús Ortiz Paz (JOP) thanked fans, families and the Street Mob Records team, saying the honor represents a 10-year journey.

Formed in 2015, the group includes José “Pelón” García, Moisés López, Khrystian Ramos and Samuel Jaimez. Its 2025 ninth studio album, 111XPANTIA, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the highest-charting Spanish-language album by a duo or group in that chart’s history. The group has also reported more than 46 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Billboard’s Vanguard Award recognizes artists who go beyond convention and redefine standards in the music industry.
