Noah Kahan has received his first nomination at the 2026 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, in the favorite male breakout artist/group category. The singer-songwriter marked the news with a tongue-in-cheek post on X on October 8, 2026, writing that a decade of hard work had led to the moment.
Kahan’s post focused less on the nomination than on the Nickelodeon tradition of being covered in green slime. “I’m finally gonna get slimed,” he wrote, adding, “I can feel it dripping down my scalp and into my eyes and nostrils.”
Kahan is up against BigXthaPlug, Don Toliver, Role Model, Sombr and Temper City in the category. The 2026 ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 14.
The nomination follows a strong run for Kahan. His 2022 album Stick Season debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 and later reached a No. 2 peak in 2024 following the release of its expanded editions. More recently, his single “The Great Divide” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, his highest-charting hit to date.
