Shakira reunited with her Madrid audience on Friday, September 18, launching a 12-date residency at the Shakira Stadium, a temporary venue built for the event. The opening night drew 55,000 fans, marking her first concert in Spain in eight years.
The setlist spanned more than three decades of music, featuring hits including “Hips Don’t Lie,” “TQG,” “Te felicito,” “Soltera” and “Girl Like Me.” Shakira performed for nearly two hours, transitioning across rock, reggaeton and other genres while changing costumes multiple times. The performance of “Dai Dai,” the 2026 FIFA World Cup official song, drew particular enthusiasm from the local audience.
New song “Te Dejo Madrid” was added to the setlist for the Madrid dates. Before performing it, Shakira recalled her first visit to Madrid at age 19 and a romantic connection with a local resident. Other notable moments included “Acróstico,” dedicated to her children Milan and Sasha.
The residency will continue over 11 remaining dates in Madrid. No surprise guest artists appeared at the opening night, despite some audience anticipation.
