The track completes its climb to the summit after 18 weeks on the chart, following its entry at No. 25 in May. “Polaroid” cracked the top 10 on August 15, dipped to No. 13 the following week, then returned to the top 10 on August 29 before reaching No. 1.
The song generated 6.9 million impressions in the United States during the tracking week ending August 27, according to Luminate, representing a 13% audience gain. Produced by Carrión, Hide Miyabi and AndrahPR, “Polaroid” samples Michael Sembello’s 1983 hit “Maniac” and appears on Carrión’s album CORSA. The track climbs to No. 35 on the hybrid Hot Latin Songs chart.
La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho reaches a new milestone with its 23rd chart-topper as “Si Las Miradas Mataran” races to No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay. The achievement breaks the band’s tie with Banda MS for the second-most leaders in the category, behind only Calibre 50’s 29 No. 1s.
“Si Las Miradas Mataran” reaches the summit with 6.3 million audience impressions, up 39% during the tracking period. Released May 29 via Ferca/UMLE as the title track of a seven-song set, the song also appears on the deluxe edition of its parent album, released May 28. The track debuts at No. 18 on Hot Regional Mexican Songs.
