Charli XCX has canceled her scheduled Arizona concert on the Music, Fashion, Film tour as she recovers from an illness. The singer was set to perform at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale on Wednesday.
In a social media post, the singer said she has been “fighting sickness throughout this run of shows and have now completely lost my voice.” She added, “it breaks me that i can’t be with you tomorrow.” She said her team worked to find a new date but was unable to. Charli said refunds would be issued automatically to buyers who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster. Other ticket holders can seek refunds at their point of purchase.
The cancellation follows two shows in Los Angeles over the weekend. During the weekend show at the Kia Forum, Charli welcomed Chappell Roan for a duet of “Boom Clap,” her 2014 breakthrough solo single, marking the first time she has performed the song live in the Brat/Music, Fashion, Film run. PinkPantheress also appeared and performed her own song “Stateside.”
Charli said she is “resting ahead of the final show in vegas this friday.” She will conclude the North American leg of the tour on Friday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
