Luis R. Conriquez Returns to Roots on 'Muchacho Alegre' Music News
The Mexican regional music star released his 12th studio album on July 10, 2026, featuring collaborations with Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Anuel AA and others, marking a shift from corridos bélicos to tumbado sounds.

Luis R. Conriquez released Muchacho Alegre, his 12th studio album, on July 10, 2026, under K Music. The 16-track production marks a departure from the corridos bélicos that established his career, returning instead to regional Mexican roots with tumbado influences.

The album features collaborations with Netón Vega, Peso Pluma, Óscar Maydon, Joel de la P, Tito Double P, Grupo Frontera, Fuerza Regida and Puerto Rican artist Anuel AA. Standout tracks include the title track “Muchacho Alegre,” “Qué Gacho” with Netón Vega, “Rosita” with Gabito Ballesteros, “Bandida” with Peso Pluma, “Salma Hayek” with Grupo Frontera, and solo track “Al Chile Pega.”

“It took me a year and a half to complete this album because, for the first time, I focused on personally selecting the songs and being fully involved in the production,” Conriquez told Billboard Español. “We created lyrics and sounds reminiscent of how we started in regional Mexican music.”

Conriquez is preparing for his first European tour beginning September 24, 2026, in Madrid. The trek includes stops in Barcelona, Bilbao, Berlin and Paris, concluding October 4 in Amsterdam.
