Madison Square Garden Maintained 'Risk' List of Celebrities Music News
Madison Square Garden kept a database labeling rappers, musicians, and actors with risk designations and tracked sexual orientation, according to a report citing leaked data. The list included nearly 40,000 names with about 400 given risk labels.

Madison Square Garden maintained a running list of rappers, musicians, actors, and other celebrities, assigning them risk designations and in some cases noting their race, gender, and sexual orientation, WIRED reported.

The arena’s “talent” database contained nearly 40,000 names, with approximately 400 celebrities assigned risk tiers: “flagged,” “low risk,” “medium risk,” and “high risk.” Rappers Freddie Gibbs, Lil Jon, DaBaby, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie were marked “high risk.” Jadakiss and Fat Joe, both known Knicks fans, received “medium risk” designations, as did Morgan Wallen, Lily Allen, and David Harbour. Ice Spice, Selena Gomez, Ben Stiller, and Mariska Hargitay were labeled “low risk.”

The list also tracked 89 individuals marked “LGBTQIA,” including Ricky Martin and Phoebe Bridgers, for reasons not explained. Some entries were flagged “not to be hosted” or “do not host,” denying complimentary tickets to figures including comedian Adam Pally and producer Pete Rock—both of whom had publicly criticized Madison Square Garden chairman and CEO James Dolan.

The database was leaked by hackers who stole data from the arena and demanded ransom, according to WIRED.
