Ticket sales alone raised $10 million for the festival’s 10 nonprofit partners: Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center and Planned Parenthood. Prior to her headlining set, Rodrigo welcomed philanthropist Melinda French Gates to the stage, where Gates announced she had doubled the $10 million in funds, bringing the total donation to $20 million.

Rodrigo cited Lilith Fair founder Sarah McLachlan as an early inspiration for the festival concept. During her set, Rodrigo welcomed McLachlan, Alanis Morissette and Stevie Nicks on stage. The lineup included Rachel Chinouriri, Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna, Mitski and Doechii, among others.

The festival took place during intense heat, with multiple artists reminding attendees to stay hydrated. Rodrigo announced plans to continue the festival in future years.
