The members of 5 Seconds of Summer faced off on Hot Ones Versus, the First We Feast competition series, with Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin eating increasingly spicy wings while answering brutally honest questions.
Clifford opted to eat a “death wing” rather than rank each member’s solo albums from best to worst. Hood chose another spicy wing over letting bandmates doodle on his face for the remainder of the episode. Irwin voluntarily consumed a death wing to avoid answering a personal question about his property holdings.
The group completed challenges including a no-hands pizza-passing game referencing their deep-cut song “Pizza Song,” and Hemmings successfully filled in lyrics to old 5 Seconds of Summer tracks. Clifford judged his bandmates’ outfits in an impromptu fashion show, while Hood assigned tongue-in-cheek personality sashes: Hemmings as “Little Diva,” Clifford as “Hot Mama,” Irwin as “The Flirt,” and Hood as “Bad Influence.”
The episode concluded with a heated game of musical chairs using The Last Dab hot sauce. Clifford won the competition and playfully challenged fellow boyband alumnus Niall Horan to face all four members in a future episode.
