The rivalry traces to 2023, when BIA aligned with Cardi’s rival Nicki Minaj on the 2020 track Whole Lotta Money. Fans noted BIA appeared to remove Cardi-praising posts from her X account, though BIA said they had no problems.
In 2024, the feud intensified. BIA criticized Cardi over alleged similarities between BIA’s Really Her EP and Cardi’s Enough (Miami).
