Laneway Festival has announced dates for its 2027 edition across four cities in Australia and New Zealand. Sydney will host the festival for the first time at Centennial Park on Friday, February 12, followed by Brisbane Showgrounds on Saturday, February 13. The festival returns to Melbourne at Flemington Park on Friday, February 19, before concluding at Western Springs in Auckland on Sunday, February 21.
The reduced route follows the festival’s decision to omit Adelaide and Perth in 2027. Organizers cited logistical challenges of staging multiple events across Australia and New Zealand within a short timeframe. “Running so many shows, so close together, across so much ground is a logistical feat we’re proud of, but it also asks a lot of our lineup and crew,” organizers said, noting that the omissions are not necessarily permanent.
The 2027 edition also marks Laneway’s return to Brisbane Showgrounds after the Queensland leg moved to Southport Sharks on the Gold Coast for 2026. The festival lineup remains unannounced, with first artist confirmations expected in late September.
The announcement comes during a period of transition for the festival, which saw festival director Jessie Parker announce her departure after 16 years. Laneway marked its 21st anniversary in 2026 with a lineup featuring Chappell Roan, Wolf Alice, Role Model, Wet Leg, PinkPantheress and Geese.
