Max Verstappen won the 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix with a pole-to-checkered flag victory. Alongside the racing, the event ran a three-day live music festival on October 9-11 across 11 live entertainment stages, with performances when the racing paused.
The Singapore GP team booked and curated a lineup of 43 acts for 2026. The lineup included The Killers, Janet Jackson, Split Enz, JJ Lin, Lana Del Rey, Goo Goo Dolls, Zara Larsson, James Arthur and CORTIS, along with DJ sets and a number of Australasian acts. Split Enz played the opening-night set at the Wharf stage in Zone 1. Lana Del Rey had the closing headline spot at the Padang Stage, the largest of the spaces with an audience of 60,000, and gave a live debut of new music. For the first time, organizers staged the Barge stage, which hosted sets from DJ Snake, Major Lazer Soundsystem, TOKiMONSTA, Rev Run, Flight Facilities, Mark Ronson and ZHU.
The Grand Prix welcomed 301,294 spectators. That was the second-highest attendance in the event’s history and the highest since the Marina Bay Street Circuit layout was revised in 2023. Only the 2022 event, with 302,000 spectators, was higher. According to Billboard, international visitors account for half of the Grand Prix’s 100,000-person daily attendance.
Brett Murrihy, head of Asia Pacific and partner agent at William Morris Endeavor (WME), said WME brought as many as 12 clients to the event. “No other festival in Asia possesses comparable buying power or influence,” Murrihy said. He also said Asia has become an essential and highly valuable market within the global live entertainment ecosystem.
Adam Firth, executive director of the Singapore GP, said government support is critical to the event, noting that agencies including police, transport, environment and customs are involved in building and dismantling the circuit. He said his team works throughout the year to identify artists it believes will resonate with fans. Asked about adding a streaming element, Firth said he has been thinking about it, but that Formula 1 holds the TV rights, so any such plan would need to involve discussions with Formula 1 as well as with artists.
