BMG has signed Australian five-piece Parcels to a global music publishing deal, the independent music company said on October 28, 2026. The agreement was signed at BMG’s European headquarters in Berlin.
Parcels formed in 2014 in Byron Bay, Australia, and relocated to Berlin in the mid-2010s to build their audience and shape their sound. Daft Punk co-produced their 2017 single “Overnight,” which broadened the band’s international following and led to festival appearances including Coachella and Glastonbury. The band has accumulated more than 1.5 billion total career streams across three studio albums and several live releases.
The partnership will draw on BMG’s global network to “support Parcels’ international ambitions,” according to a company statement. The deal was led by Jasper Niebuhr, managing director of BMG Germany, Switzerland and Austria, with contributions from publishing teams across continental Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Australia, including Alistair Norbury, Monti Olson and Heath Johns.
Niebuhr said: “Parcels are one of the most distinctive and compelling bands of their generation.” He added that the band’s “Australian roots, creative history in Berlin, and strong presence in the U.S.” reflect an international spirit.
Parcels released their third studio album, LOVED, in 2025 and supported it with a world tour that included first-ever U.S. arena headline dates. Band members Patrick Hetherington and Jules Crommelin recently launched a new project, Dream Boat, which released its debut single “Real!” on October 21, 2026.
Parcels manager Birger Luedemann said the BMG team showed genuine enthusiasm for the band across its offices in Berlin, London, the U.S. and Australia.
