Kristen Bell performed a surprise Broadway medley at a Savannah Bananas game against the Indianapolis Clowns on Saturday, August 15, alongside Broadway star and Bananas pitcher Derek Klena.
Bell, wearing a custom Bananas jersey and headset microphone, performed “For the First Time in Forever” from Frozen as she made her way down the stadium steps toward the field. Klena, dressed in the team’s yellow sleeveless uniform, joined her to sing “Dancing Through Life” from Wicked, performing dance moves that were mimicked by his teammates.
The pair closed the medley with a rendition of “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing, with Klena executing a lift as they held hands and reprised the opening songs. The Bananas captioned the performance: “The mashup we never knew we needed.”
Klena, 34, joined the Savannah Bananas in December and has been touring with the team’s Banana Ball World Tour this year. He is known for his Broadway roles in Jagged Little Pill and Dogfight.
The appearance came one day after Bell reunited with Frozen co-stars Idina Menzel and Josh Gad at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, on August 14 to announce Frozen 3, scheduled for release on November 24, 2027.
