ZZ Top cancelled their Hollywood Bowl performance in Los Angeles due to health issues affecting longtime drummer Frank Beard, the band announced.
In a statement, guitarist Billy Gibbons said: “Insurmountable obstacles require canceling our Hollywood Bowl performance.” He added: “Friends, fans and followers of ZZ Top are the best in the business and the band is counting on everyone to bear with us for this brief interruption.”
Vocalist Elwood Francis and Gibbons will continue The Big One tour with a fill-in drummer, a band spokesperson confirmed to Rolling Stone.
The tour has upcoming stops across North America in Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Texas and other locations. Earlier in 2026, ZZ Top extended the tour with nearly two dozen additional summer dates.
