Jay-Z performed the first of two headlining shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Friday, October 23, 2026. The concert was part of his yearlong “Jay-Z 30” celebration, which began with a one-off headlining show at Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic in late May.
The celebration has included three back-to-back sold-out nights at Yankee Stadium, shows in London and Paris, and an eight-episode HBO docuseries on his catalog. According to Variety, the SoFi set ran about two hours and drew on his discography, opening with “Hovi Baby” and moving on to tracks including “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” and “Run This Town.” Leading into “Empire State of Mind,” he asked the crowd, “Can I take you to my home for a second?”
Guest appearances
Guest appearances were fewer than at his Yankee Stadium shows. Blue Ivy Carter played keys on “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents.” Scarface performed “This Can’t Be Life” and “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” John Legend and DJ Khaled joined for the closer, “God Did.”
Variety noted chatter that Jay-Z may have booked the Super Bowl 2027 Halftime Show. The Super Bowl is set to take place at SoFi Stadium, the same venue as the concert.
The final night of the “Jay-Z 30” tour at SoFi Stadium is set for Saturday, October 24, 2026.
