Teyana Taylor performed at Jay-Z’s third and final night of his Yankee Stadium residency on July 12, 2026, as part of the “Extra Innings” celebration. Taylor opened the show by performing Mary J. Blige’s part on “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” the 1996 track from Jay-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt.
In an Instagram post, Taylor thanked Jay-Z for the opportunity, saying the “gratitude was louder than any mic could ever be” despite sound issues on stage. She reflected on performing in front of over 40,000 people at the iconic venue, writing: “I got to see this lil Harlem girl stand beside the GOAT… in Yankee Stadium… in front of over 40,000 people.”
Jay-Z’s three-night residency (July 10–12, 2026) celebrated milestones for Reasonable Doubt at 30 years and The Blueprint at 25 years. The shows featured performances from Beyoncé, Rihanna, Usher, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Pharrell Williams, Clipse, Alicia Keys, Eminem, Nas, and others.
