Gracie Abrams Releases Third Album ‘Daughter From Hell’

The 26-year-old singer released her 16-track third studio album on July 17, featuring production from Aaron Dessner and guest vocals from Marcus Mumford. The album marks her favorite work to date, according to Abrams.

Gracie Abrams released her third full-length studio album, Daughter From Hell, on Friday, July 17. The 16-track collection follows her 2024 Billboard 200 No. 2 LP The Secret of Us.

The album was led by the first single “Hit the Wall,” which peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Aaron Dessner, guitarist and composer for The National, served as cowriter on 14 of the album’s 16 tracks and worked alongside his twin brother Bryce Dessner on the lead single. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver coproduced “Hit the Wall” and contributed vocals and production to “Broke My Heart.”

Additional collaborators include Dan Nigro, who coproduced the second single “Look At My Life,” and Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons, who provides guest vocals on “What If It’s Right?” — the track Abrams has identified as her favorite on the LP. Actor Paul Mescal, Abrams’ boyfriend, has a cowriting credit on “Imaginary Friend.”

“It’s definitely my favorite music I’ve ever made, and I feel very closely connected to it,” Abrams told The Hollywood Reporter in January. She described the album as a time capsule of her current life and said she approached writing about conflict and pain “from less of a place of pointing fingers and more so of having been on both sides.”

Abrams will begin The Look at My Life tour in North American arenas on December 2 in Denver.
