Cole Escola returns to their Tony-winning performance in Oh, Mary! at Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End beginning July 20, with a limited run continuing through August 15.
Escola created the titular role in the play’s Off-Broadway and Broadway debuts. The London production will include a live stage film shot July 28. Original cast members Bianca Leigh (Mary’s Chaperone) and Tony Macht (Mary’s Husband’s Assistant) join Escola, alongside Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher and Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband. The stage film cast continues through August 1.
For the remainder of Escola’s run through August 15, Dino Fetscher takes over as Mary’s Teacher, with Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant. Jinkx Monsoon succeeds Escola in the title role August 17–September 26, with Scott Karim returning as Mary’s Husband.
Oh, Mary! centers on Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks before Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The comedy premiered at Off-Broadway’s Lucille Lortel Theatre in 2024 and opened on Broadway in summer 2025, where it became the first show in the Lyceum Theatre’s 121-year history to gross more than $1 million in a single week. The production earned two 2025 Tony Awards: Lead Actor in a Play for Escola and Director of a Play for Sam Pinkleton, who directs both the West End production and the stage film.
The West End transfer opened December 18, 2025. Oh, Mary! continues its Broadway run at the Lyceum Theatre.
