Demi Lovato is feeling fine after a reported brief hospitalization for an allergic reaction she had on Tuesday, October 27, according to Billboard, which cited People.

People reported that the singer posted a photo to her Instagram Story showing her receiving medical treatment with an IV in her arm while wearing a hospital bracelet. In the post, which she later deleted, Lovato said she was either allergic to passion fruit or sushi.

Lovato reportedly made a follow-up post, also since deleted, as she recovered. I’m fine, she wrote.

Lovato has spoken publicly about allergies before. In 2009, she had an allergic reaction while filming an episode of Sonny With a Chance, which she believed was caused by an ingredient in egg salad. She has also said she is badly allergic to pets such as cats and dogs. She adopted a cat in the past and returned it after one day.

Lovato released the album It’s Not That Deep in October 2025, and it peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. Billboard has reached out to Lovato’s representatives for comment.
