Filmmaker John Wilson, known for HBO’s How To With John Wilson and The History of Concrete, is making a documentary about Harry Styles’ current Madison Square Garden residency. Photos of Wilson filming Styles circulated on social media in recent days, leading fans to wonder whether the two were collaborating on a project.

Variety confirmed that the project is a documentary about Styles’ Together, Together residency, a 30-show run at Madison Square Garden that began in August, when Wilson started filming, and runs through October 31.

According to Variety, the film will feature “a hybrid of live performances and a glimpse into Styles’ world.” Variety also reported that Wilson will dig deep into the residency with “authentic human stories of everyone involved in the tour—from the singer and his fans to countless others behind the scenes.”

Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures and Styles are producing the documentary. A theatrical release is potentially in the works.

The project follows other recent concert films by high-profile filmmakers. David Byrne recruited director Brady Corbet to film his Baltimore concert in 70mm, and Paul Thomas Anderson, with help from Benny Safdie, captured Cameron Winter’s Carnegie Hall concert.
