Diana Ross will perform in Australia in 2027, her first concert in the country in more than two decades. The Queen of Motown will headline the Sydney Summertime concert series on Friday, March 5, 2027, for an exclusive, one-night-only show at Centennial Park.
The concert is presented on the eve of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Ross will perform Diana Ross Freedom in Motion, according to a statement from Black Peach Touring, the promoter launched in 2025 by Jessica Ducrou, co-founder and former CEO of Secret Sounds Group.
Ducrou and Elise Huntley, co-founders and directors of Black Peach, said in a statement: “Diana Ross is an absolute icon.” They added: “It’s going to be something very special.”
Lineup and series context
- Ross is the third international headliner confirmed for the inaugural 2027 Sydney Summertime season, following The Strokes and Kings of Leon.
- British electronic duo Groove Armada will perform a DJ set alongside Ross.
- Additional performers will be announced shortly.
The all-ages series is supported by Destination NSW, the lead agency for the visitor economy in the New South Wales government. NSW minister for jobs and tourism Steve Kamper said the show is “a major coup for NSW.”
Ross last performed in Australia in November 2006, with concerts in Melbourne at Regent Theatre and Flemington Racecourse, and in Sydney at Capitol Theatre.
Presales for the Sydney Summertime concert open at 9am local time on Monday, November 9, 2026. More information is available at blackpeach.co/dianaross.
