Karol G released her new song “Matadora” as she kicked off her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour at Soldier Field in Chicago. The artist teased the track on Thursday night with a video captioned “1 million comments and I’ll release it tomorrow during the show.”
The song follows her 2025 album Tropicoqueta. In a recent interview with Vogue’s “The Run-Through” podcast, Karol said she had been in the studio preparing for the tour. “Summer has been looking like rehearsals and creating at the same time,” she said. “I’ve been so inspired doing music since November.”
The Viajando Por El Mundo tour spans 39 stadium dates across North America, South America, and Europe. Karol G will become the first Latina artist to headline stadiums in Europe as part of a global tour.
