Ariana Grande welcomed Ty Dolla $ign as a special guest during night three of her five-show residency at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Thursday. During the performance of “Safety Net,” Ty walked through the door of Grande’s elaborate stage house as the crowd erupted in cheers.
The collaboration appears on Grande’s sixth studio album, Positions, released in October 2020. “Safety Net” debuted at Number 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 following the album’s release. After their duet, Ty shouted, “The queen, Ari. Love you, thank you!”
On social media, Ty teased a future collaboration with Grande, posting a screenshot to Instagram Stories of her performing “Supernatural” from her latest album Eternal Sunshine, captioned “to be continued…..”
Grande is scheduled to return to Barclays Center for shows on July 18 and 19 to close her Brooklyn residency before heading to Boston for a three-night run at TD Garden. The Eternal Sunshine tour launched in Oakland last month in support of her seventh studio album of the same name, marking her first headlining concert performance since 2019.
