Gracie Abrams Performs in Romeo + Juliet Costumes on ‘SNL’ Music News
Gracie Abrams performed “Hit the Wall” and “Here You Come, There You Go” on the Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live, dressed in costumes from Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film Romeo + Juliet. The episode aired Saturday, October 31, with Inde Navarrette hosting.

Gracie Abrams wore costumes from Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film Romeo + Juliet across two performances on the Halloween episode of Saturday Night Live on Saturday, October 31.

For “Hit the Wall,” the lead single from her third album, Daughter from Hell, Abrams wore Claire Danes’ angel costume from the film and opened the performance from behind an aquarium, a reference to the movie’s fish-tank scene. She returned later in the episode for “Here You Come, There You Go,” a track from the album’s deluxe edition, wearing Leonardo DiCaprio’s Hawaiian shirt with the metal sleeves from his knight’s armor.

Chart context

Daughter from Hell, released July 17 via Interscope and produced with Aaron Dessner, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 124,000 equivalent album units. It is her first No. 1 on that chart. Her 2024 album The Secret of Us peaked at No. 2. “Hit the Wall” reached the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 45 on the Billboard Global 200.

Tour dates

Abrams’ Look at My Life Tour opens December 2 in Denver and runs into May 2027, including four nights at London’s O2 Arena.

This was Abrams’ second appearance as SNL musical guest, following her December 2024 debut on an episode hosted by Chris Rock.
