Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile performed three songs from their Grammy-winning album Never Enough on Saturday Night Live, including the Best Metal Performance winner 'Birds.'

Turnstile, the Baltimore-based hardcore group, debuted on Saturday Night Live, performing the first single and a two-song medley from their Grammy-winning album Never Enough, the night after their Austin City Limits gig.

The band opened with “Birds,” which won Best Metal Performance at the Grammy Awards in February. Never Enough, Turnstile’s fourth album following 2021’s Glow On, won Best Rock Album at the same ceremony. The band made history as the first to be nominated simultaneously in the Rock, Alternative and Metal categories.

Later in the performance, Turnstile played a medley of “I Care” and “Dull” from the album. The band wrote all fourteen songs on Never Enough. A “reimagined” version of the album was released in August.

Lead singer Brendan Yates previously told Rolling Stone that the album’s title track “has existed in my head for a long time” and explores themes of love falling short and constantly reaching for lasting impact.

Turnstile’s upcoming tour dates include a return to Austin City Limits for the festival’s second weekend, as well as performances in Arizona, California and Las Vegas through this month, with four European dates scheduled for next June in Germany, Denmark and Norway.
