TUIDE, HYBE’s newest girl group, is carving out a path between R&B and electronic music with a sound they call “Soultronic.” The seven-member group blends distinct vocal personalities with production from GroovyRoom, incorporating Shibuya-kei and electronic elements.
The group’s name derives from “Tune the tide,” reflecting their intent to set currents in the music scene. Their debut album is titled TUNE & PLAY, with lead single “SUN KISS” encouraging listeners to trust their instincts. The B-side “ABD” playfully skips the expected letter D in the alphabet sequence.
According to the members, their group identity emerged from honest collaboration and recognising each other’s strengths rather than following a preset formula. Each member’s voice retains its own character while blending naturally with the others, allowing vocals and performance to move freely across genres.
TUIDE aims to bring listeners “the ease and positive energy of a close friend” by starting from what they do best and enjoy most. The group has set their sights on competing in this year’s rookie awards.
