KATSEYE will make their Saturday Night Live debut on the season 52 premiere this weekend, performing as the musical guest alongside host Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks superstar making his SNL hosting debut.
In a promotional video released ahead of the show, cast member Marcello Hernandez encouraged both Brunson and KATSEYE to loosen up, but the group remained focused. “We’re locked in,” responded Lara, one of the group’s members, with an icy stare. Daniela briefly broke character with a goofy grin before being corrected by Lara to “lock in” with the rest of the group.
KATSEYE member Sophia did not appear in the promo. She announced a hiatus from the group in August, initially said to cover the first leg of their Wildworld Tour in September, and her status for this weekend’s SNL appearance was unknown. The group is currently promoting their Billboard 200-topping album WILD. Their North American tour dates begin October 13 in Miami.
Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streams on Peacock.
