KATSEYE member Lara Raj posted a selfie with Camila Cabello to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, September 23. In the photo, Raj wears sunglasses while Cabello rests her head on Raj’s shoulder, captioned “My big sissy forever.”
Cabello’s music has influenced Raj’s work. In August, Raj revealed on the Nicky at Night podcast that Cabello’s 2018 single “Never Be the Same” served as a reference for the writing and production of KATSEYE’s song “Unloveu,” which appears on the Target edition of the group’s third EP, WILD.
“Never Be the Same,” released as part of Cabello’s 2017 debut solo album Camila, peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2018 and topped Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart.
Other KATSEYE members have also expressed admiration for Cabello. In a 2025 interview with Complex, member Sophia Laforteza called Cabello “everyone’s older sister.”
KATSEYE’s WILD EP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the group’s first chart-topper on the tally.
