Ozzfest confirmed on Monday, September 21 that it will return to the U.S. in 2027, marking the festival’s first North American appearance in nearly a decade. The announcement came via Instagram, with organizers stating, “Ozzfest will come to the U.K. and U.S.” No cities, dates or lineups have been disclosed at this time.
The festival previously announced a show at Villa Park in Birmingham, U.K., the 42,000-capacity stadium that hosted Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert “Back to the Beginning” in July 2025. Event details for the Birmingham show have not yet been shared.
Ozzfest was created by Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife and manager, in 1996 after she was unable to book Ozzy on the Lollapalooza festival. The event became a popular annual touring festival through 2008, bringing hard rock acts to the U.S. and Europe. It has since taken place sporadically, most recently as a one-day event in 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, featuring Rob Zombie, Body Count and Marilyn Manson.
Following Ozzy Osbourne’s death in 2025, Sharon Osbourne has spoken several times about wanting to bring Ozzfest back. In an earlier interview with Billboard, she stated: “It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people.” She added that negotiations with Live Nation were underway for the 2027 reboot.
