Jae Stephens has released “Sugar Trap,” a new single from her forthcoming debut studio album. The track features bass-heavy production by Dallas Caton.
“[Sugar Trap] is all about knowing your power and how to use it,” Stephens said in a statement. “I think we as women can be too quick to place our value in someone else’s hands, so I wrote this as a reminder that we are always the prize and should never give our time to anyone less than deserving!”
The single follows “Attaboy,” released earlier this year. Both records build on the pop star prowess Stephens established with her Sellout EP series.
Stephens will perform on the BMI stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday, August 1.
