Empire of the Sun will undertake a six-date tour of Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2027, marking the electronic act’s largest tour of the region to date. Produced by Frontier Touring, the Ask That God: Afterlife Tour will begin in Auckland at Spark Arena on February 19, 2027, followed by shows in Brisbane at Riverstage (February 21), Sydney at Afterpay Arena (February 25), Melbourne at Sidney Myer Music Bowl (February 27), Adelaide at Adelaide Entertainment Centre (March 2), and Perth at RAC Arena (March 6).
The tour expands the universe introduced on Empire of the Sun’s 2024 album Ask That God and is described as the final live instalment of that experience. According to Frontier Touring, the reimagined show “celebrates imagination, transformation and connection in a rapidly changing world.”
Led by Luke Steele (Emperor Steele) and producer Nick Littlemore (Lord Littlemore), Empire of the Sun last toured the region in 2024 for the Ask That God Tour, which sold more than 400,000 tickets worldwide. Since their 2008 debut album Walking on a Dream, the duo has sold more than five million albums, accumulated six billion streams, won eight ARIA Awards and two APRA Awards.
