Britain’s Royal Mail will issue a range of Duran Duran stamps and collectibles celebrating the new wave legends’ music. The artwork from eight classic albums will be pressed as official stamps, including the band’s 1981 self-titled debut, Rio, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, Notorious, the 1993 self-titled album (known as The Wedding Album) and 2021’s Future Past.
The collection features more than 30 items, from stamp sets to posters, presentation packs, postcards and framed sheets. Some pieces are available from September 17. The cheapest item is a Duran Duran “First Day” envelope at 30p, while The Wedding Album full sheet of 1st Class stamps costs £86.40.
Duran Duran joins a select group of acts honoured with special Royal Mail stamp issues, including AC/DC, The Who and Spice Girls. The band headlined a Hyde Park show in London on July 5, completed a residency at Bleaulive at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, and performed arena and festival dates across North America and Continental Europe.
