NCT 127 released an energetic music video for “Piñata” on Tuesday, August 11, marking the first preview of their seventh studio album, BLINGY, out August 24. The project features nine tracks and is the group’s first full-length album in two years.
The track, released via SM Entertainment and Virgin Music Group, blends heavy rock guitars, funky bass and breakbeat percussion into a hip-hop sound. The video depicts NCT 127 as “streetwise fixers” navigating Seoul during a late-night outing.
The group is headlining KCON LA on Friday to give fans an early preview of BLINGY before its release. An official “NCT 127 7th Album [BLINGY] Comeback Live Party” will take place on August 25, where the group will perform all album tracks and share behind-the-scenes stories.
BLINGY marks a transformative era for the quintet of Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun and Haechan. Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently serving in the military. The group has undergone recent changes: Tael was removed in 2024, Mark departed SM Entertainment in April 2026, and Winwin exited in July 2025 after concluding his contract.
