Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” became certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America on Monday, August 3, 2026. Both artists announced the achievement on X shortly after receiving the news.
The certification gives Cardi a fourth diamond song, the most of any female rapper ever, and serves as Megan’s first diamond certification. “WAP” debuted in August 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and became the first female rap collaboration to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100, where it spent four non-consecutive weeks.
The track’s music video, released alongside the single, features an appearance from Kylie Jenner and has accumulated over 583 million views. Cardi and Megan performed the song together for the first time at the 2021 Grammy Awards and reunited for a performance at Wireless Fest in 2022.
