Slayyyter announced on October 5 that WOR$T MAN IN AMERICA, a nine-track brother album to her third studio album, will arrive December 4 via RECORDS/Columbia Records.
The new project serves as a counterpart to WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, revisiting the sounds, themes and ideas of its predecessor from an inverse perspective. Two songs have already been released: Brand New Chanel$, which gave Slayyyter her first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, and Crank 2. Both offer a fresh take on the WOR$T GIRL tracks Beat Up Chanel$ and Crank, respectively.
Slayyyter began teasing the album during the launch of her WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD Tour in July. At the tour’s opening night in Missouri, she debuted Brand New Chanel$, along with Nekromantik! and I Think He’s Got a Girl, all of which appear on the new album’s track list. Brand New Chanel$ arrived officially in July, while Crank 2 followed in September.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Slayyyter explained her decision to continue exploring the WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA universe: “I want to live here for a little longer, so I’m kind of making an inverse album, if you will. I just want the core of everything to feel like me, because it finally feels that.”
