Night one of Head Trip 2026, a one-time dance music festival held on the Coachella grounds in Indio, Calif., ended early on Saturday, October 10, 2026, due to weather.
At 9 p.m. PT, a set by Under Construction, the duo of Fisher and Chris Lake, was cut off by a lightning alert announcement instructing attendees to exit the venue the way they entered or seek shelter in personal vehicles or shuttles.
Within half an hour, attendees were told the show would not continue on night one. The festival app was updated to say that tonight’s show had ended and would not resume due to continued lightning in the area.
Headliner and weather
Calvin Harris was scheduled to take the stage at 9:30 p.m. PT following Under Construction. Campers were advised to continue sheltering in their vehicles until further notice as a weather system containing lightning moved into the Coachella Valley region. Rain was forecast for Indio and the wider region through Sunday morning.
Day two
Day two is scheduled to begin in the early afternoon and run into the night, with sets from DJ Harvey, The Blessed Madonna, Dom Dolla b2b Kettama, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia.
Head Trip is a one-time festival produced by Goldenvoice that follows the template of the 2023 metal-focused Power Trip and the 2016 classic rock festival Desert Trip.
