Harry Styles recreated his 2010 X Factor audition look for a cover of Stevie Wonder's “Isn't She Lovely” at Madison Square Garden on Friday, October 30, 2026. The show was the 29th of his 30-show Together, Together residency.

Harry Styles changed into the outfit he wore for his 2010 X Factor audition during his Harryween show at Madison Square Garden on Friday, October 30, 2026. The performance was the 29th of his 30-show Together, Together residency.

Styles performed Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely,” the song that took him to the next round of the competition at age 16. He also repeated a line from the original audition, telling the crowd, “I work in a bakery,” a reference to the part-time job he held in his hometown of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

The audition look was a mid-show change. Styles opened the night dressed as Elvis Presley, while his band and dancers appeared as different versions of Styles from across his career. Styles’ first recorded song was a cover of Presley’s “The Girl of My Best Friend.”

Footage of the audition, released by the show in 2022, shows Styles opening with Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister” before singing “Isn’t She Lovely” a cappella after Simon Cowell asked to hear him without a backing track. He was later placed in One Direction with Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne. Earlier in October, Styles debuted “What Is Enough,” a song written for Payne, at the same venue on the second anniversary of Payne’s death.

Harryween tradition

Costumed covers have become a recurring part of Styles’ Harryween shows. At the first edition, at Madison Square Garden in 2021, he dressed as Dorothy to sing “Over the Rainbow” and returned the next night as a clown to cover Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” In 2022, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, he dressed as Danny Zuko from Grease for “Hopelessly Devoted to You.”

The residency concludes Saturday, October 31, 2026, with a final Harryween show. The Madison Square Garden run drew a record 11.5 million presale registrations on Ticketmaster.

Styles has sent all four of his solo albums to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, most recently Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., released in March. He has topped the Hot 100 three times: “Watermelon Sugar” in 2020, “As It Was” in 2022, which spent 15 weeks at No. 1 and was the longest run atop the chart by a U.K. act, and “Aperture” in 2026.
