Charli XCX’s Music, Fashion, Film Tour stopped at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles over the weekend, where the singer was joined on stage by surprise guest Chappell Roan.
The two performed a duet of Charli XCX’s 2014 breakthrough solo single “Boom Clap,” the first time she has performed the song live in the Brat/Music, Fashion, Film era. Before the performance, Charli XCX said: “Every night on tour, I play an old song.” She said she had asked a friend to join her to sing one of her old songs.
Later in the show, Charli XCX brought out PinkPantheress, who performed her own song “Stateside.” The Dare also appeared for the Billie Eilish remix of Charli XCX’s “Guess,” with cannons shooting pairs of underwear into the crowd.
The tour continues Sunday night with the second of two shows at the Kia Forum. The previous weekend at the Austin City Limits Festival, Charli XCX brought out Tinashe, who performed “Melatonin” and “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore” live for the first time.
