Spotify announced on Friday, September 25, 2026, that Taylor Swift became the most-streamed female artist in a single day in 2026 on the platform. The achievement was driven in part by the release of four new bonus tracks on The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
The lead track from the new songs, “Patient Zero,” became Spotify’s most-streamed song by a female artist in a single day in 2026 so far. The extended project also includes “Babylon,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Cleveland!” alongside the original album tracks.
The Life of a Showgirl spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and opened with 4.002 million equivalent album units in its first week in the United States.
Swift will premiere a cinematic music video for “Patient Zero” at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27. The visual, directed by Swift, features Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson. Swift will receive the inaugural Artist Director Honors at the 2026 VMAs.
