Natanael Cano, the Hermosillo, Sonora-based corridos tumbados pioneer, opened his Mexico Stadium Vol. 1 Tour with a sold-out performance at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on Friday, September 18, 2026. A second date was added after the initial concert sold out within hours.
Cano took the stage in a cream-and-black snakeskin jacket, crisp cowboy hat, Louis Vuitton Timberlands and a gold lion buckle, citing Tupac and Chalino Sánchez as style inspirations. Backed by a full ensemble of tuba, requintos and guitar, he performed material from his recently released album Natanael Cano, Vol. 1, which debuted at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.
The album follows 2025’s Porque La Demora, which saw Cano explore trap, reggaetón and afrobeat. His career includes four Billboard Hot 100 entries, including “PRC” with Peso Pluma and “Vino Tinto” with Peso Pluma and Gabito Ballesteros.
Following the Mexico City kickoff, Cano will take the tour to 12 additional cities across Mexico, including stops in Guadalajara and Monterrey, concluding on December 5, 2026, in Acapulco.
