Carla Jeffery, who played Bree in Disney Channel's ZOMBIES film franchise, has died at age 33, her talent agency announced September 2, 2026.

Carla Jeffery, the actress who portrayed Bree in Disney Channel’s first three ZOMBIES movie musicals, died on September 1, 2026, at age 33, according to a statement from her talent agency, Alexanders Talent Management, shared Wednesday.

“Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12. For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room,” the agency said in a statement.

Jeffery was born in Houston and began acting as a pre-teen. Her first screen role was as a 10-year-old in 2006’s Phat Girlz. From 2007 to 2009, she had a recurring role as Keysha on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. She was cast as Bree in Disney Channel’s ZOMBIES (2018) and reprised the role through ZOMBIES 3 (2022). She also voiced Bree in 2024’s Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.

Actress and singer Freya Skye, who joined the franchise in ZOMBIES 4, shared condolences on Instagram, writing: “What a wonderful, bright, joyous human. Rest easy Carla.”
