ARIA VEGA Earns First Billboard No. 1 With Ryan Castro

Colombian artist ARIA VEGA and Ryan Castro's collaboration "Chévere" tops the Latin Airplay chart dated September 19, 2026, marking VEGA's first chart-topper and Castro's second.

“Chévere,” a collaboration between Colombian artists ARIA VEGA and Ryan Castro, rockets to No. 1 on the overall Latin Airplay chart dated September 19, 2026. The song, released on AWOO/Warner Latina, achieves the milestone after a 23% gain in audience impressions to 6.6 million during the September 4–10 tracking week in the United States, according to Luminate.

The track also claims the top position on Latin Rhythm Airplay and rises to new peaks on Hot Latin Songs (No. 21) and Hot Latin Rhythm Songs (No. 12). It displaces Jay Wheeler’s “De Lejitos” from the Latin Airplay summit after two weeks at No. 1.

“I’m receiving this incredible news from Madrid, where I’m attending Fashion Week with a wonderful Colombian brand,” VEGA told Billboard, adding that she plans to return to Colombia to open for Shakira’s residency and is recording reimagined versions of her songs infused with coastal sounds, “so I couldn’t be happier!” Castro, speaking from Washington, D.C. on his SENDÉ World tour, said: “Seeing it reach No. 1 on Latin Airplay fills me with pride. I’m very grateful to ARIA, my team, and everyone who continues to support my music.”

“Chévere” stands as the only 2026 Latin Airplay chart-topper by two Colombian artists and just the sixth No. 1 by soloists from the same country. Of the 33 songs that have hit No. 1 on Latin Airplay in 2026, 23 have been collaborations, including 15 duets.

VEGA is scheduled to open for Shakira during her residency at Macondo Park and is recording reimagined versions of her songs infused with Colombian coastal sounds, including drums and gaita flutes.
