Warner Music Q3 Revenue Up 10% on Streaming Growth Music News
Warner Music Group reported quarterly revenue of $1.9 billion, driven by a 12% increase in recorded music streaming revenue to just over $1 billion. Acting CFO Louis Dickler attributed the gains to subscription growth, improved licensing deals and expanded market share.

Warner Music Group posted third-quarter revenue of nearly $1.9 billion, up 10% year-over-year, with digital revenue climbing 11% to about $1.25 billion, the company said on August 5, 2026.

Recorded music streaming revenue rose 12% to just over $1 billion. Acting CFO Louis Dickler attributed the increase to subscription streaming income (6–7%), improved licensing deals with digital streaming partners (3.5%) and expanded global market share (1%). CEO Robert Kyncl credited Chief Digital Officer Carletta Higgins with negotiating updated deals with major streaming partners, including Apple.

Warner’s U.S. recorded music market share, including catalog, rose about 0.3%, while its share of music released in the last 18 months grew about 0.8%, according to Luminate. Kyncl cited recent hits including Stella Lefty’s “Boston” (a Billboard Hot 100 top 5 hit) and Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” as contributors to three years of market share improvement.

Since Kyncl became CEO in early 2023, Warner has implemented cost cuts totalling more than $600 million combined and undergone a corporate reorganisation. Acting CFO Dickler said the company’s guidance for high single-digit top-line growth is anchored by growth in paid streaming.

Upcoming releases in the latter half of 2026 include music from Alex Warren, sombr, David Guetta, Ravyn Lanae, Myke Towers, Teddy Swims and Miley Cyrus.
