Sabrina Carpenter’s “House Tour” music video has earned a best direction nomination at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. The video, co-directed by Carpenter and Margaret Qualley and also featuring Madelyn Cline, was nominated on August 19.
Madelyn Cline, who co-starred in the video alongside Carpenter and Qualley, learned of the nomination live on NBC’s Today show. “No! What? I’m really excited! I’m so behind. I’m sweating,” Cline said when host Carson Daly informed her of the nod.
Carpenter received seven nominations at the 2026 VMAs, including video of the year for “Tears” and artist of the year. “House Tour” charted at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 following the August 2025 release of Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend album and continued charting into 2026, reaching No. 68 in July.
The video depicts Carpenter, Qualley and Cline arriving at a mansion in a pink van before causing playful chaos throughout the house. The production was filmed entirely on film over two full days.
