NBA YoungBoy Reveals Heart Condition, Says One More Tour Ahead Music News
The rapper, now living in Korea, disclosed he was told the left side of his heart was swollen during a tour but continued performing. He said he has one or two albums and one final tour remaining in his career.

NBA YoungBoy revealed in a podcast interview that a doctor told him the left side of his heart was swollen during a tour, but he did not disclose the condition at the time. “On tour, a doctor told me the left side of my heart was swollen and I never told nobody,” the 26-year-old rapper said on the Open Thoughts podcast, recorded in Korea where he now lives. “I just kept doing every show. I finished my tour out like that.”

YoungBoy said the condition persists. “My heart kind of still is enlarged on this little side,” he continued. When asked how many more albums he has in him, YoungBoy replied, “One or two.” He confirmed one final tour is planned. “I go on tour one more time throughout my whole life and that’s it,” he said.

In January, the Recording Industry Association of America announced that YoungBoy had earned more certifications than any other rapper in history, with more Gold and Platinum songs and albums than Kanye West, Drake, Jay-Z, and others in the genre. His ninth studio album, Slime Cry, was released in January, following his August 2025 mixtape Deshawn, hosted by DJ Khaled.

YoungBoy’s career has been marked by legal troubles. In December 2024, he pleaded guilty to a gun-possession charge linked to a 2020 arrest in Louisiana and a separate gun charge in Utah, and was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison with credit for time served. In May 2025, President Trump pardoned him. When asked if he would consider returning to the United States, YoungBoy said, “Never in my life.”
